Things I don't do

Every company website talks about what it does. This list is shorter, but it saves us both more time.

I'm not a doctor

Foot scanning and insoles are a comfort service. I measure the shape of the foot and make a support that's comfortable, exactly the way a suit gets tailored. If there's a medical problem with the foot, the right address is a GP or an orthopaedic specialist, not me. I don't diagnose, I don't treat, and I'm not going to pretend I can. What actually separates a comfort insole from a medical orthotic is written out here: they are not the same thing.

I'm not a land surveyor

A scan gives a very accurate picture of what is where. It is not a legally weighted measurement or an official survey plan. If you need a document that stands up in court or at the council, a licensed surveyor produces it. If you need to know whether the wardrobe fits, I'm cheaper and faster.

I don't do mass production

Short runs, yes. Ten, a hundred, sometimes more. Ten thousand, no. Injection moulding exists for that and factories do it better and vastly cheaper. If your project reaches that volume I'll say so and point you onwards. That beats selling you something that isn't sensible.

I don't print things that shouldn't be printed

Some parts carry load, spin fast or live somewhere hot. Printed plastic isn't always the right material. I say that beforehand, not after the part has flown into somebody's face. Sometimes it means there's no order, and that's completely fine. Whether plastic holds up depends on which plastic: what the part is actually made of.

I don't invoice afterwards

Every order runs on 80% up front and 20% on handover. That isn't distrust. It's why I can keep prices where they are, and why your job is genuinely locked into the calendar. The exact payment terms are on the terms page.

I don't do a hundred jobs a month

This is a family company and it stays small. I'd rather do ten good jobs than a hundred average ones. If you're after the lowest quote and the fastest factory, you'll find it elsewhere and I'll tell you so myself. If you're after somebody who'll actually think your thing through, and who's good company while doing it, we're in the right place.

I don't give out a phone number

There's no number here and there won't be. Email opens on a click, because otherwise bots crawl it all day, every corner of it. Write, and the person who answers is the one who does the work — not a salesperson reading you a price list over the phone.

I don't digitise foam impressions (not yet)

I pulled foam-impression and plaster foot-cast scanning off the menu. I tested it, and a dark, foamed-in cavity is the hardest case a scanner can face — dedicated laser machines exist for exactly that, and I don't have one yet. When I can do it properly, it comes back. I don't do it half done in the meantime.

I don't say your data is “encrypted”

That word sounds safe and often means nothing. My version is plainer: files sit on my own equipment, on my own network, not reachable from the public internet, and nothing goes to a public cloud. If that's not enough for you, say so honestly and we'll talk — that beats me handing you a marketing word I can't actually back up.

I don't fly or drive to another country to measure a part

The site now has French, Spanish and Italian too — but that's for people who already live here, in Estonia or nearby, not a promise that I'll turn up in Paris or Rome to measure a car part. If you're already here, I'm glad to help. If you're there, you're there.

If your thing is on this list, sorry. If it isn't, write.
