Scale models

For when a thing has to look right rather than carry load.

In a resin printer each layer cures across the whole area at once rather than being drawn as a line the way an ordinary 3D printer works. That gives a smooth surface and detail that stays sharp at a couple of millimetres. There are no layer lines, because they don't form the same way.

What you can order

An honest warning

Resin is beautiful and brittle. If the model has to survive a house move or being handled by children, that's worth knowing before you order. Functional parts get printed on the ordinary printer, which is stronger and only slightly less handsome.

Finishing

Resin prints are washed and post-cured. That's included: the piece arrives finished, not tacky and half-done.
